some things i’ve learned about adulthood that no one warns you about
- you will in fact continue to have acne past the age of twenty
- you will eventually hit a point where you start to feel icky inside if you go too long without eating some sort of vegetables
- depending on your current level of athleticism/physical activity as well as the kind of activities you did as a kid/teenager, your joints may start acting whack in your twenties, despite what everyone says about that not happening until middle age
- eventually you will reach a point where you wonder how you were able to stay up until 3am nearly every night and be perfectly fine the next day (and this moment will come much younger than you expect)
- it is much harder to meet new people after you’re done with school than sitcoms would have you believe
- don’t let society tell you shit: it is perfectly acceptable to live with your parents after you graduate, there’s no need to be broke and miserable just so you can have some misguided attempt at independence straight out of school
THIS
can we just like romanticise being bare faced?? like really bare faced, not this “no makeup makeup look” shit like pls lets romanticise dark circles and acne and discolouration and redness and skin conditions and eyebags and oily skin and just regular old eyebrows and looking tired because I am tired stop treating these as things that take away from beauty and just celebrate them like jesus pls

Oh, i didn’t try this mask yet, but it looks great!! I have a sensitive skin, but sometimes, when i eat too much sweets or i feel very anxious, i have pimples and enlarged pores… I’ll try it :)
to anyone who has an oily face 🌸
this is something i have learned from a facial spa, it’s an advice for anyone who has an oily skin :) there are a lot of different skin types and sometimes the oily ones are the worst, why?? because our pores are always open and it causes acne and pimples specially if it’s not treated well, an oily face is just as having a sensitive skin!! so here are tips to avoid breakouts
1. if you have oily skin, do not!! use!! moisturizer!! or any face products that contains bazillion amounts of moisturizer, because it triggers pores that are open causing to have more and more breakouts. our skin is already moisturized by the oil it produces, your face is oily because it is not dry!! therefore using moisturizer while having layers of oil on your face is definitely a big no! your pores will not be able to breathe, it will feel sticky and hot but– if it’s cold in your area, a thin layer of moisturizer might help to soothe your skin, the best i can recommend is “cetaphil” it’s the mildest and most smoothing, perfect for every skin type. u should always find the right product to stick with!!
2. air pollution and dirt is the biggest enemy, ever!! so if you are in the streets, avoid exposing your skin to the smoke of the vehicles and also don’t touch your face if your hand isn’t fully sanitized
3. if a part of your face is itchy, don’t scratch it with your nails, scratch it using the back of ur fingers instead, nails aren’t always clean and there are dirt stuck in them
4. facial cleanser are the best, it cleans inside the pores, leaving your skin a fresh and icy feeling but you don’t have to use them everyday, 3 times a week is fine, toners are also great but you have to choose them wisely since we’re talking about the skin on your face, apple cider vinegar is one of the best i can ever find to tone my skin :)
5. washing your face in the morning and at night is important for a normal skin type, but people with oily skin types should wash theirs 3 times a day, since oily faces are sticky– dirt are easy to stick, causing lots of unexpected breakouts
and that’s all! i have oily skin and kept putting moisturizers because i didn’t know what it could do to my skin plus it’s always summer in my country, i didn’t know it was the ones causing me lots of breakouts specially on the forehead and cheeks so i stopped doing that so my skin wouldn’t snap!! but now, i only use a facial cleanser and wash my face with kojic soap, it’s crazy i only get breakouts when i am on my period. that’s all! hope this will help!! 🐝 🌺
